Seminoles retool Defense

In a surprising move the Tampa Bay Seminoles claimed off waivers SS Steven Walsh who played last season with the Dukes. Walsh is an excellent defensive SS who hit a solid .270 last. What made him so attractive to the font office is that he is in the last year of his contract and his play could determine if he will be back after this season or he will hit the Free Agent Market.

The move also allows the team to move players to more natural positions. Glenn Sabel has been moved from SS to 3B after committing a 37 errors last season at SS. Team officials feel that 3B is a more natural position for Glenn and should help improve his confidence that at times least season appeared to be shaky. Gold Glove winner Jose Martin, who was thought to be moving back into the in field, will stay in CF with the recent aquisition of Walsh.
